My Homemade Moisture Mix

As you all probably know by now (because i announce it to anybody who'll listen, lol) i have dry hair. So i have been on a quest since starting to take better care of my hair, for something, anything that would moisturize dry hair. I been mixing up all kinds of conditioners, buying leave-ins and going crazy looking for moisturizers. Well being the mixtress that i am, finally mixed up something that is working for my dry hair. So here's the mix, maybe it will work for you too.

Moisture Mix
aloe vera juice
olive oil
vegetable glycerin
garnier fructis leave-in
Vo5 strawberries & cream

that's it your hair will feel like butter :o)

Combs

I love to collect combs. Combs are sometimes thought of as evil, they can rip and tear at fragile hair. The trick is finding the right comb/s for different things we do to our hair. On wash day, the best comb for hair is a detangling comb and for everyday use on fine or any highly textured hair, a wide tooth comb is best for minimizing breakage. To rollerset hair, i like to use a fine tooth comb, after detangling with a wide tooth comb. There is something that i learned from a haircare guru that was very important, she said "no matter what comb you use, make sure the teeth are smooth". If you look at most commercial combs under a microscope, you will see the teeth are jagged. This cannot be seen by the naked eye, but it can damage your hair, making micro nicks and tears, which will eventually damage and weather hair. So, what do you do to make sure your combs have smooth teeth? Well, you can order your combs from specialty stores that sell smooth toothed combs, or you can sand down the teeth of your combs with sandpaper until smooth.
