I'm In Love With Henna
Today i did a henna gloss. It was the best henna gloss i ever did. My hair doubled in thickness and felt so strong. I had just taken out a weave i had in for 2 1/2 weeks. I don't know why but when i took out the weave my hair was so dry and brittle, so i co-wash 3 times and it was a tangled mess, i was on my hair from 8:00 in the morning until 10:00 that night, it seemed like my hair was one big dred loc, so i carefully pulled apart each tangle, then co-washed again, but my hair still felt dry and brittle and was shedding like crazy. I didn't know what my next step was, so after pinning my hair up and sleeping on it, i decided the next day i was gonna do something, i could not let all my hard work go down the drain, i was not gonna have a setback. So when i got back home this evening, i decided i was gonna do something that has never failed me, my beloved henna. I had henna that was left over from the last gloss, i just added a little more oil and applied it like a relaxer, starting at the roots, then the length, put on a plastic cap, my satin scarf and went to visit my dad. I returned in 2 hrs. and rinsed in the shower. I could immediately feel the thickness and strength, after rinsing throughly. I applied my moisturizer and sealed with almond oil, let air dry and my hair now feel fabulous- check it out girls :o)
Here is the recipe :
3 tablespoons of Jamila henna
coffee-enough to make henna dark
1/2 cup of vo5 strawberries and creme
almond oil
