How to stop Dandruff?

Dandruff usually presents itself as white flaky particles that, in bad cases, can become very noticeable. Dandruff is one of the most frequent scalp problems.   The flakes are dead skin cells that have been shed from your scalp.  A lot of people think dry skin is the cause of dandruff, but that is not true – dry skin can cause some flaking, but the particles are usually too small to see.  Most people with dandruff  have oily skin, and latest research shows that the real culprit is probably a tiny fungus called malassezia globosa that needs fast to grow.

The first important step in preventing dandruff is to eat a healthy, balanced diet.  This condition is not really a hair problem, but a process related to the drying and subsequent flaking of the scalp.  Though the exact causes for dandruff are still unknown, there are several, all natural ways to stop it.  Our hair tips for men who suffer from dandruff address two aspects i.e., lifestyle and using the proper hair products.
Hair care specialists agree that dandruff is related to the stress levels in our lives, so our number one and most important hair tip for men is to stop worrying.  Another thing you can do to tackle the problem from the inside out is to transform your diet and make it healthier by introducing more zinc, B and E vitamins, Omega-3 fatty acids will all help promote healthier hair. Be sure to avoid eating excessive yeast and sugar.  One of the possible causes of dandruff is a fungus that is able to survive only in yeasty and sugary environments, so one way to eliminate it is by eliminating yeast and sugar from your diet.

Choosing the proper dandruff hair care product and having proper scalp hygiene can also help.  These products eliminate dandruff cleaning the hair, but going gentle on the scalp and nourishing it in a way that eliminates the fungal infection and allows the scalp to breathe again.  Anti dandruff products can come in the form of shampoos, hair masks or hair oils.
One hair problem that everyone worries about is dandruff and umbrella term used for all forms of excessive scaling conditions, when pieces of skin appear on our hair and clothing.  But it is important to realize that what we call dandruff is not always so! True dandruff is the condition also known as pityriasis capitis.  Some losses of surface cells from the scalp is normal, as the uppermost skin cells die and are replaced by new ones from below.  These scales are most conspicuous after hair has been brushed since this can loosen the dead cells. Some people tend to have dry, flaky skin, and this may also cause a problem with scaling, especially if you wash your hair frequently.  Hormone level change during youth or puberty makes the scalp oily and causes dandruff.  People think applying oil in hair will help them get rid of dandruff though it is not true.  Oil doesn’t help remove dandruff in any way. The washing removes the natural oils from the scalp and the skin is shed in dry white flakes.  When this is mistaken for dandruff, the hair is washed more often sometimes with harsh shampoos and the result is a vicious circle, with the scalp becoming drier and drier, it may also become itchy, causing you to scratch and thus make the skin flake off more rapidly.

NATURAL REMEDIES FOR DANDRUFF:

Dandruff can appear with dry as well as greasy hair.
The dead cells on the scalp can block the pores which makes the oil flow difficult. Then, in spite of the greasy scalp the hair becomes lifeless.  If it is not very advanced, against dandruff help some natural homemade means:

This head problem often comes with itching and white flakes falling off the shoulders and back.  It can be an irritation of the scalp, acne, skin itching.  Dandruff is dead cells which separate and are replaced by new cells.  This is a normal process for the human skin.  Sometimes the pH balance of the scalp is ruined.

Then the dandruff is accumulated on the scalp and falls off as white yellowish flakes warm 30-40 ml of coconut oil, add 2-3 clays of garlic and 3 – 4 black paper balls.  Cool off and put on the scalp overnight.  Wash the hair with a mild shampoo.  Do this procedure 2 times a week for 1 month.  The dandruff will disappear and your hair will be strength ended.

Two times a week make a hair mask of milk of one coconut and sleep with the mask.  Before going to beg massage the skin of the head with coconut oil and several drops of eucalyptus oil.  Wash the hair in the morning. Repeat the procedure 2 times a week for 1-2 months.

The head massage is a part of the treatment because it stimulates the blood flow to the scalp and helps remove the dead cells.  The lemon juice also helps for the pH balance of the head.  Put some lemon juice in 15-20 ml of coconut oil and rub in the hair before going to beg.
Wash the hair in the morning. After a few procedures the balance will get better and the dandruff will stop.

I have to wear a black shirt at work.  Not a good thing when suffering from dandruff, always checking for flakes, and not letting anyone close enough to see what is going on in the hair, I have tried several different remedies, all with limited success.  But, I have tried one that has pretty much eliminated all flakes and has restored some self confidence of being close to others.  ¼ cup apple cider vinegar, ¼ cup water and spray generously on head, and wrap with a towel.  Wait 15-60 minutes and wash out 2 or 3 days straight should clear the problem.

Dandruff can be associated with imbalanced scalp conditions.  Many people have tried medicated shampoos and other natural products (herbs).  Imbalanced scalp conditions can also come from scalps that are over oily, and this was my problem, so I tried using a shampoo that treats oily hair, and this worked for me.  My problem was not dry scalp, but rather over oily scalp and caused an imbalance so applying shampoo for oily hair worked on my hair…now I am dandruff free.
